Construction Detail

Frame: The Bauhaus frame is constructed from engineered hardwoods that are glued, stapled, and braced for durability.

Seating System: The Sinuous Spring Seating System utilizes heavy gauge tempered steel springs which are clipped and double braced with a plastic coated wire that adds increased strength and improved seating.

Back: Webbing made from the highest quality raw rubber that is encapsulated with polypropylene latex cover. The webbing system has been tested and certified no sag or permanent stretch through 250,000 cycles. It has a 300 lb. tensile strength per 2" strap. Webbed backs eliminate squeaking and rusting issues.

Seat and Back Cushions:

• Seats: The Bauhaus seat cushion construction is comprised of a softdown seat cushion consisting of premium 1.8 lb. density polyurethane foam wrapped with two 2.25 ounce per sq. ft. layers of thermally bonded polyester fiber laminated to the foam core.
• Backs: The Bauhaus back cushion and accent pillow are filled with a premium 15-denier conjugated polyester fiber that adds a lush feel with durable, resilient wear.

Tailoring and Padding: Bauhaus features fully padded outside arms and outside backs. Corrugated board is attached to the frame; foam padding is then applied before the piece is upholstered.
